Into the background she fades
Forever outcast like a plague.
The sudden impact surprises us all
As she takes the first steps and fall.
Intriguing light touches her cheek.
She is indifferent to be meek.
And every now and then we all stop and stare,
For her to be this way really is unfair.
A smile shier then the rest
But a heart bigger then her chest.
The love that pours out of her eyes.
We watch her love fall from the sky.

Into the background she faded
Forever outcast like a plague.
Looked upon as something to use.
Its ok because she doesn’t mind the abuse.
A tilt of her head puts you at ease.
You open her legs but she doesnt let you free.
Beaten and bruise an armor you can not crack.
“I win”, she said so matter-of-fact.

The sudden impact surprised us all
As she took those first steps, we watched her fall.
Never coming back up for air.
Floating to the top, thin black tentacles for her hair.
Death was her partner in crime
In which they would paint the walls full of rhymes.
Unleash expressive and upsetting cries
But turn around and say, “I’m just fine.”

Intriguing light touched her cheeks
She was indifferent to being meek.
On the grass she looked fragile and pale,
Something never seen from this girl.
It wasn’t often you looked at her so.
You wouldn’t dare, because she was not for show,
Even though her beauty was greater the most.
Expectations of reports of a lost girl’s ghost.

And every now and then we stop and stare
For her to be that way really wasn’t fair,
To die that way really wasn’t right;
But who really cares, she didn’t even fight.
Just dove right into the murky river,
As we waited the air got thinner.
A boy offered to go in and get her.
Unfortunately he was hesitant just like the others.

But her heart was bigger then her chest.
Her lungs filled with water.
The teachers came and got her.
Then he showed up out of nowhere,
Open her pale mouth and breathe out a breath of air.
We listen closely but watched from afar
Watched as he listened to her soft beating heart.
Put his lips to hers, spread them apart,
Then breathe once more; causing a flutter of hearts.

Gasp of air rose out from her mouth.
Heavy demeanors appeared with dark clouds
But what happened next stifled us awhile.
Her cheeks grew big and her lips formed a smile.
We all were amazed to see her like that.
She and the guy disappeared in a Chevrolet Corvette- black.
Forever content and never unwelcome.
She had found something that we all forgotten.
Love.
A love that poured out of her eyes.
We watch her love fall from the sky.
